Hi, Friend, Happy Almost Lunar New Year and Spring Festival! The dragon will leave to make room for the snake on January 29, 2025. The snake is associated with wisdom and resilience which is certainly excellent traits we could all use. I know I can! I’m looking forward to spending time with family for Lunar New Year. No hot pot this year since scheduling doesn’t allow but we’ll still get together for a lovely meal at a restaurant. And, I’ll spend time this week to, as I say in Chloe’s Lunar New Year, “…sweep out the old. To make room for good luck in the new year.” Speaking of Chloe’s Lunar New Year, I can sign a personalized copy to you through Imprint Bookshop. Be sure to let them know who you want me to sign it to. https://www.imprintbookshop.com/online-orders.html Wishing you all a joyous Lunar New Year and Year of the Snake! ~~Lily |
Poulsbo Kids' Book Festival Hi, The fabulous Liberty Bay Books in Poulsbo, WA is doing their first kids book festival this Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm at the Sons of Norway Hall. The festival is a dream of its owner and kid lit author Suzanne Selfors. I love both being an author and an attendee of kids book festivals. It is so much fun to see and talk to so many kid lit authors all in one place. There is so much great energy! Check out the authors who will be there....

I am so excited and honored that the Bank Street committee chose Chloe’s story about celebrating Reunion Dinner with family and that even when a loved one is no longer with us, they will always be with us as long as we remember and hold them close to our...
Hi, Reader, Huge thanks to readers who came to my book release at Third Place Books on Tuesday. It was joyful to see so many faces and then hang out afterwards. Diana Ma is a wonderful conversation partner asking such good questions and bringing her own experiences to the dialogue. Now, I’m on my way to South Bay for my book events on Saturday with Hicklebee’s in San Jose, CA and then to Linden Tree in Los Altos, CA. Here’s the updated book events list with one correction and one add: Indie...
